portabella manchego burgers

 

 

modeled after cindy’s recipe here but i did forget to put my fresh herbs in!

 

  • 1/2-3/4 pound ground venison (or beef, turkey, etc.)
  • 1 cup diced portabella mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded manchego (you could use any cheese, we liked the strong flavor of this)

 

let the meat warm up a little at room temp while you dice mushrooms and shred cheese, it makes it easier to work with. combine all ingredients and grill to desired doneness.

melt about 2 tablespoons butter and brush generously onto insides of buns, and a light coating on the outside. grill 3-4 minutes or until toasted.
