perfect popcorn

check out this popcorn recipe from alton brown. i’ll never buy the microwave kind again! ok, don’t wanna click? here’s what you do (or how i do it anyway): first, run some kosher salt through your food processor so it gets nice and powdery. you can keep it in a shaker with some popcorn kernels and it won’t get hard. it’s the best for popcorn! next, get a huge metal bowl and put 2-3 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp salt in the bottom with 1/2 cup popcorn kernels. (i like to get the amish kind, they have tons of different colors.) cover the bowl with tinfoil, put on your oven mitts and place the bowl on the stove. turn a burner to high, and continuously shake the bowl over heat until popcorn is popped. voila! it takes about 5 minutes and you’ll never want the fake yellow-fake butter-fakey bakey stuff again!
