bratwurst salad
- 4 brats
- 4 hearts of romaine
- 1/2 large onion, sliced
- shredded cheese (i had colby)
sauce:
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced pickles
- 2-3 tbsp diced jalapenos
- 1/4 cup lowfat/olive oil mayo
- 1/4 cup catsup
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
slice onion and place in a foil packet with 2 small pats butter and some olive oil cooking spray. cook on the grill for the same amount of time you cook brats.
mix up sauce and spoon into the bottom of a heart of romaine leaf. place brat on top, and finish with onions and shredded cheese.
depending on how sloppy you feel like getting, you can actually pick this up and eat it like you would with a regular bun.
